AB Bonthron Ewing is a company with a long tradition and an interesting history as an important supplier to the manufacturing industry. Bonthron Ewing has always focused on quality goods and represents a mixed assortment of selected items. We sell various types of tools, magnets, clamping equipment, bar feeders, cutting fluid, filter paper, and special products. We work with both direct industrial customers and a number of selected resellers.
Our history
The company was founded by Axel Bonthron in 1917, a respected pioneer in the machine tool trade. In 1932, the company was restructured by his then-colleague Gottfrid Ewing, at which point the company received its current name.
1930-1980
From the late 1930s until 1980, the company was led by Gottfried’s son-in-law Gunnar Sahlström. Under his leadership, the firm expanded significantly.
1983
In 1983, the firm underwent major personnel changes and was later taken over by Lars Lundkvist, then the sales manager of the firm.
2001
In 2001, the company was purchased by the then firm Swedish Tool, where the son Petter Lundkvist continued to work for a while together with the new CEO.
2006-2007
At the end of 2006, the firm was bought by Tomas Reimer and his family. In 2007, the firm moved to newly built premises at Tellusvägen 13 in Vallentuna, which fit well with the operations that are run today.
